ECCOTECH STATEMENT OF QUALITY ASSURANCE AND COMMITMENT

STANDARDS, QUALITY & INSPECTION

In the manufacture and installation of Eccotech Double Glazing the following documents, standards, quality and inspection requirements are used.

NZS 4223:1985 Part 1 "The Selection and Installation of Glass in Buildings"
AS/NZS 4666:2000 "Insulating Glass Units"
AS/NZS 4667 2000 "Quality requirements for cut-to-size and processed glass"
Eccotech IGU 10 Year Warranty

Testing of Eccotech Double Glazing under go very thorough and specific tests at BRANZ (Building Research Association of New Zealand) who test the units to comply with BS 5713 (British Standards), CEN 1279 and other international performance standards.

Eccotech are also prominent and active members of:

GANZ (Glass Association of New Zealand)
IGUMA (Insulating Glass Unit Manufacturers Association)
WANZ (Window Association of New Zealand)

Eccotech undertakes to supply you, the customer, with a product to specification, to meet the competitive and rigorous demands of today's Window Manufacturing Industry.

The Installation and Handling of these special units requires the same commitment as we have to the Quality that we strive to produce.

Most good quality IGU has a 10 year warranty against seal failure due to manufacturing faults. These warranties however are generally invalid if the IGU is installed incorrectly. Most IGU failures occur for this reason, it is important to ensure the glazing system is suitable, and the installation of the IGU is done correctly. Many windows manufacturers only offer limited warranties and normally the IGU warranty period will be longer than the window warranty, so it is critical to establish warranty responsibility at the design and installation stage, especially if the window manufacturers are installing IGU themselves.
Recommendations detailed in this document are set to help us and our customers isolate and possibly eliminate premature failures of IGU. Non-conformity to implement and follow these recommendations could result in a warranty claim, which will be the responsibility of the installer/window manufacturer. Thus making Eccotech IGU manufacturers Warrantee void.

ECCOTECH IGU WARRANTY

Eccotech offers a 10 year warranty on every unit that we manufacture.

A 10-year warranty against seal failure due to manufacturing defects is standard for all our units, and we provide comprehensive installation instructions that must be adhered to. Failure to follow correct installation, handling, maintenance etc will result in the warranty being void.
